... as I sail away ...
The time has come
for me to set sail
on a new and peaceful journey.
As I set out
I look back and smile
and fondly remember the good times we've shared.
I hope you too
will keep those memories close to your heart
and cherish them as I do.
Do not mourn as I sail away;
I will always be near in thought and spirit;
This is not good-bye, simply 'so long...'
And like the rising swells and the ebbing tide
My life has come full circle;
I am complete.
So, look for me on the ocean
riding eternal waves of happiness,
travelling onwards on a new journey.
The sun on my face,
The wind at my back ...
I am free.
